The R1 Ribbon is a beautiful piece of
engineering. Its single Figure of 8 polar pattern is derived
from an incredibly fine 1.8 micron Aluminum membrane. The
R1 has a higher-than-normal roll-off and greater sensitivity,
producing a more open and natural sound than you’d expect
from a ribbon mic. The R1 is not so much a mic for a specific
application but one that brings a smooth unique sound to
all of your applications.
